Dr.
Vince Lurie was born in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He graduated with distinction in computer science from
the University of South Africa in 1978, and immigrated
with his family to Canada in 1987, settling first in
Toronto. In 1996, he attended York University
to obtain the necessary prerequisite pre-med courses
and the following year, followed a lifelong dream and
attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine
in Toronto, to do his post graduate studies in Naturopathic
Medicine. After graduating in 2000, he followed
his daughters to Vancouver, where they had attended
University of British Columbia, and started a practice
in downtown Vancouver eventually moving to his current
location in Kitsilano in January 2001.
Dr. Lurie is a member of the B.C.
Naturopathic Association (BCNA), the Canadian
Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), and
is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians
of B.C. (CNPBC).
His interests include nature conservation, photography,
classical music, hiking and cycling.
He is married with three daughters. His wife
Gillian teaches nutritional cooking in the UBC area. |
